Your forest exploration can be expanded with natural or cultural attractions. Some treks through the forests can be perfectly combined with a visit to a nearby traditional village; while others will lead you to wonderful waterfalls and hot springs, where you can have a relaxing rest. Be aware though, that some forest hikes lead through quite wild, unexploited areas. Therefore it is highly recommended for inexperienced hikers to do the exploration with a local guide who knows the terrain well.
