The local people call it Cunca Rede as the descending stones are quite looking similar to the stairway. This descending spring water has been watering around eight Lingko, locally called for the traditional farming area. The massive water flows from time to time, almost unchanged even through the dry season, flowing downstream to the southern coast.

The forest around the waterfall is also a home for many tropical trees and other floras, including wild orchids. Some familiar bird sounds like Kokak or Helmeted Friarbird or philemon buceroides is also easily heard from the distance. Amazing scenery of rice terrace will be welcoming you soon as you arrive in the crossing of Wae Musur and Wae Pagel river, make a stop here to breathe the freshness of the atmosphere.

The climate was Cunca Rede has been included as one of Taman Wisata Alam Ruteng’s available attractions other than Poco Ranaka mountain, Ranamese crater lake, and Golo Lusang forest.  People called them Cunca Rede as the descending stones are quite seemed similar to the stairway.

The massive flow rate or debit of the water has been attracting the local national power company to do some survey years ago for a micro-hydro project.

For the first point of a walk as the nearest access to the waterfall, people can park their motorbike and begin their soft trekking from Pak Sebastianus Dadat’s house. Some little youngsters will be around to guide people who want to go there.

In your trackback to the Pak Sebastian’s house, it would be nice to get a bath in the small-sized Wae Musur river, be careful as the river stream goes a bit strong, make sure you find a safe place near the river’s bank.
