No Roads Expeditions operates a small sea kayaking business out of Labuan Bajo. Our sea kayaks are proper expedition craft which means you sit in them not on top of them. This allows for great stability and speed and as such you will be able to cover more water with less effort.
Our operations are staffed by well trained local guides, cooks, deck hands and captains. They all know the Park very well and can access places few know about. That is the great thing about sea kayaking the Komodos, you will be able to go where others can’t.
Each of our trips is supported by our 15m converted fishing boat, which will carry all your extra gear and where all the cooking happens. The craft carry’s all the Safari tents and camp equipment too, so you don’t have to paddle with and turn up with wet gear.
No Roads Expeditions is committed to protecting the local environment, offering great employment opportunities to local people and offering our overseas guests with one of the best kayaking experiences on the planet.
The Komodo Islands needs time and solitude to truly appreciate its beauty. There is simply no better way to travel around the park, than by sea kayak. Quiet and close to the water, our sea kayaks give you access to places few ever visit. You will paddle above pristine reefs and through crystal clear water gaining access to the parks underwater kaleidoscope of tropical fish and coral. And at the end of the day you will dine on secluded white beaches below the Milky Way and recline on stretcher beds within your safari style tent. What more could anyone ask for?
